I have been alive for 57 years....no way I can keep it to “5”....lol.

BUT-I can give you my top 5 from the year I first starting drumming....(1977)-

Ringo Starr
Nigel Olsson\Roger Pope (for years I thought they were the same drummer)
Danny Seraphine
Hal Blaine\Russ Kunkel\Jim Keltner\Jim Gordon (At 14 I probably didn’t even know their names...but I loved everything they were doing).

All mine have already been mentioned except maybe for Mick Fleetwood - just always liked how he approached what they were doing. Unique parts & feel, imo...

Also, blown away no one mentioned Vinnie (no, not Appice, wiseguy!) - rock, jazz, fusion, studio......even plays Gretsch with trad grip! Thought that alone might get him a vote or three in these parts...
