I went to change out my snare head last night and noticed I only have the 1 Tama key. So I ordered one of these Evans magnetic drum keys:

I have one and found out after the fact that a previous version of the same key was more well-loved for having a stronger magnet. Had I not read those comments, I'd be a fan of this key anyway. Very well-crafted and comfortable in the hand. Plus it looks elegant. The magnet is strong enough that it doesn't fly off my floor tom when playing, or rattle.

Don't know about the worst but I know for certain the best is the weighted Tama with the thumb spin on the top.

I had a ratcheting drum key in my younger days of playing and I hated it. Only used it a handful of time as the teeth quickly wore off the ratchet wheel and it was not good for tightening or loosening heads. I would not ever reccomend a ratcheting drum key to anybody. Period.
