As the title says I am looking for a Yamaha maple custom bop kit, either the older maple customs or the absolutes.

Please Msg me if you got one. Thanks!

There's this one too - he's come down from $5k, but it's still stupid.

This is my dream bop kit, literally I love everything about this kit but that price is too much. You can get a pristine vintage gretsch bop kit with that money that will just appreciate in value every day, not that I consider it as investment but at that price point it is just natural to think that way.

Not a fan of that finish but at that price it is great. I contated him to see if he will ship the kit, no response.

Or you could buy these for way less: http://www.drumforum.org/index.php?/topic/152145-tama-superstar-maple-bop-kit-w-snare-400-shipping/

I like them better than the Yamaha house kits at a couple of club in town.
The reason I want a Yamaha bop kit is not just because I want a bop kit. I have a boutique Modern Drum Shop bop kit in natural maple, it is a gorgeous kit with lots of mojo, not cheap either but i have always loved Yamaha bop kits so i thought I will see whats out there. I really really love that maple custom with gold lugs, Thats my dream yamaha kit, too expensive though.

But, that tama bop kit at that price is a steal. Someone should take it ASAP.

If I wanted that kit, I'd offer him $1500 and see what he replies. He's had it listed for months. And if you're willing to cover the cost, he could take the kit to fedex and have them pack and ship.

I doubt he would give it away for that price since the snare only is pretty pricey but I can try that price for the 3 piece without the snare.

If you see a pristine vintage Gretsch set with an 18" bass for that price, let me know...

There you go, this one is still a little higher that $5k but I have seen fine examples around $5k. You can probably talk it down too.

I wouldnt say that kit is pristine with those two mounts on the bass drum and the Slingerland spurs! That is over priced, just my opinion.
