I, for one, hope and pray Yamaha never brings the CCs back. After everything I went through to get a set of them, I want them to be as desirable/collectible as possible!

Btw, if anyone happens to be looking for a 10” tom in Black Wood, I’ve got one. Or better yet, if anyone has any orphans in Dark Wood, hit me up.

I wonder how hard it would be to paint it orange swirl? LOL

Hopefully cwulf (Chris) will chime in with his monster rig of Black Swirl CC’s!
Well...bad timing for pics, but since Ryan threatened my groin with a nut punch, I’d better post pics...Here are my black swirl

CC’s. Like so many here, these will be the last kit to leave me. 24 and 18 BDs, 12,12,14,16,18 + two snares.

BTW, link to the Club Custom catalog, in case any of you were seeking more info on it:
https://europe.yamaha.com/files/download/brochure/0/324020/CLUB_CUSTOM.pdf

Edit: An interesting note — only 1 kit (Swirl Blue) is shown with 2 rack toms. Every other image is 1 up, 1 down, or 1 up, 2 down. I had no idea that every CC kick was a 15" depth, regardless of head size.

A high profile player here plays them too.

It was fun talking with HQ about the 3th gen for over at least two years.

I’m really curious what will happen to it in the future.

I owned a shell bank of swirl black CCs 20/24” bass drums , 10”/12”/13” rack toms and 14” and 16” floor toms and matching snare .
I also had a Swirl Orange Bop kit 18/12/14 .

By far my favourite Yamaha drums and even includes the Yamaha PHX kit I owned a while back . The CC are so easy to dial in and they can do the low porch fat thug or tuned up for Bop equally well.

I did not like the 18” bass drum at all , In Fact I have never liked any Yamaha 18” bass drum .

The 20/10/12/14 was my favourite configuration . I never got on with the 13” or 16” well . The 24” bass drum was superb and got me hooked on 24” bass drums

Yep- they are extremely versatile! If the buyer ever wants to get rid of that 13...I’d pay a nice price! ;) I know...I’m dreaming.

I'm with you. I always am on the lookout for a 13" for all of my kits that don't have one. I don't mind 12"s, but to me, the optimal rock kit setup is a 22/13/16.

Well, since I have the 24 bd, you can imagine how badly I want a 13, then! Haha! LOVE these drums!
