No resos and loose towels on the tom batters. They sounded like crap to me. And I love A&Fs. Not the price, but the performance!

Is that really the sound of those drums? It sounds like they overdubbed with electronic drums. Like if they did it on purpose as if they were embarrassed with the real sound. If I was A&F I'd pull that video ASAP!
What a mess!

A&F has a booth next to INDe at the Chicago Vintage Drum show and I honestly did not think A&F was in the same league as INDe sound wise . I was not the only person in the group I was with that had the same thought .
I was also shocked at how expensive A&F drums are .

The A&F drums are very processed. I don’t feel like I’m really hearing the sound of the drums. I like the sound but it just doesn’t seem real to me. The gretsch set that Joe posted sounds like real single headed Toms.
Check out 11:45 & 29:30 for a couple of shots of a different kind of single head sound.
