Let’s hypothesize for a minute . You are allowed only one drum set configuration to do all the gigs you would likely play . What would you go with . No brands just the configuration of the drum set . For example of I had to choose I would go with the following :
20 x 14 bass drum
10” and 12” rack Toms
14” floor Tom ( 15” would work as well )
5 x 14 snare ( wood or metal)
Hihats , ride cymbal and two crashes

have it; with the option of ambassador both sides of bass (for total open) in place of usual PS3.
that 'll do it. Cymbals; bosphorus, old K hihats + other variants; same snare as pictured. or a 6.5 wiffle..

Joe, what is that hanging on your two right side cymbals? I know it's a sizzler of some sort.

I'm liking 14×22, 8×12, 12×14 & 5.5×14 with 20 med, 19 med & 15 or 17 thin. I play rock & roll, but I'd play this with whoever else wants to play too.

I may try that. Tried the sink stopper chain, didn't care for it

Why would I want to limit myself to one setup?
Hypothetical Paul- just curious what people would pick of the situation was to just have one kit for their gigs

20x14 (or 22x14)
8x7
10x8
12x8
14x14
5.75x14 (or 6x14)

2 rides 2 crashes a splash and a dirty finishing move cymbal on the far right like a meinl extra dry thin or an ozone type.

Lots of 14" deep kicks among these set ups.
