I got this monster yesterday for a “used” price. It’s like-new and almost never touched. I owned a Sabian HH Power Bell Ride about 8 years ago, but it wasn’t my favorite. It sounded great, but was too dark for the rest of my cymbals and didn’t make sense in my setup. Luckily this 2002 Mega Bell Ride is much brighter and goes perfectly with my other cymbals. It’s a nice addition to my collection and a keeper for sure. It weighs 3357g.

Yikes

I'm not sure where you live (I'm in NorCal), but just to be safe, can you alert me before you slam the bell on that so I can go inside and shut the windows. ;)
The bell is just about 7.5” wide lol. It goes well with my 10” 2002 Mega Bell. But yes, you are correct! Very, very loud!

Took a flier on this 20 trans stamp, price was quite reasonable as it has several cracks around a rivet hole and a moderate key hole. Listing described it as medium thin, will be interesting to see what it is when it arrives.

23” K Custom Special Dry Ride with three rivets... my god, I’m in love, I don’t know that I can ever tire of this. The stick is so defined and the wash riding underneath is subdued and dark yet, with the rivets, just enough to float along without falling too far below or pushing too far above, volume-wise. Big A+ on Zildjian for this one. I’ve become a big fan of the Special Dry sound lately, but this... this thing is the bees knees for sure!

Traded a Pioneer, and a GMS SE snare for these 2 Bosphorus. There may be some adjustments on value to be discussed ? One is a 20’“ New Orleans 1780 gram ride. The other is a 2750 gram Traditional 22“ ride.
‘I’ve had most other brands before, and have been wanting to try Bosporus. The owner is an endorser, so I figured he’d have access to good ones. I am liking them so far. Now I have to get my right hand healed up from surgery to get a better idea how they sound.

I like pursuing those kinds of deals. Some of my best cymbals were bought without hearing them or knowing much beyond the overall condition. Hope it's a keeper.

Picked up a used 2650g 21 Evolution Ride last week ago at a GC. A great pie for sure, but at home found it to be too clean and heavy for jazz. Upon returning it tonight at a different GC, they had this 2017 2360g K-C Special Dry 21 on major clearance. Giddyup. Added a 3 rivet cluster a la the K-C LSR tonight too to give it some extra flavor.

I would be so scared to do that on any of my cymbals...Well, maybe because I have very few compared to you but I love them the way they are and I think you should really know what you are doing to do it...I'm not confident like you to do so for sure...

Just got a Meinl 15” vintage pure hi hat and a vintage C2 ride today day!
That's a potent combo! The VP Hats are so articulate and crisp, but still have a lot of body, and the foot-chick is unmatched.

Would like to hear your impression of the C2 once you've gotten to know it.

Got a great deal. Couldn't pass it up. And glad I didn't...
I was thinking of buy one but the price new is...a bit killing, how much did you pay for it? Just to get an idea of the used market for this...

I paid $260 shipped. I'd say that's at least $50 cheaper than market.

Was checking out the Guitar Center clearance a few weeks ago.
Saw a new Sabian HH Evolution 15 inch cymbal labeled bottom and bought it for like $70 bucks.
I figured I could match the top later as retail on that cymbal was like $250 by itself.

Went to another GC store a few days later and saw another new same size labeled bottom too ,but it was like $40.
I figured I'd buy it,return the other one and save like $30 bucks.

Turns out because of the new way Sabian logo's things (nothing labeled top or bottom) ,I bought a matched set for like a $110 bucks.
