I had a set and loved them. To me they were very crunchy and sharp (quick) sounding
Those were the only Zildjian hi hats I ever really liked.
$150 would be a good price.

Those are nice cymbals, and $150 is indeed a good price. I like Zildjians from that era and earlier better than more recent years.

I would think it would be the top one causing any clanginess while opened...because the only time the bottom gets "hit" is when you step on the pedal and make the "chick" sound.

I paid $70 for a bottom QB last month. Would liked to have paid less, but I had been wanting one for a long time to go with a K top. They make a great combo. I would offer less than $150 and see if you can get them....

when you strike the top cymbal it clangs against the bottom cymbal.

That is an average price. He would be lucky to get $150 on eBay.
True.
However, I do like QuickBeats.
I bought my 14 QBs new in 1978, always wanted a pair of 13" QBs.

Mine doesn't. When I play the hats, the 2 are either together more or less, or wide open. I have the top hat adjusted fairly tight with regards to the cymbal felts, so that the top cymbal can be played independently of the bottom one, without touching it. That just might be my preference...but I see what you mean. :)
