22” K Light ride is worth checking out, love mine. I play in an alternate rock band, sits great in the mix.

I was listening to this demo of a K Custom Organic Ride 21". That seems to sound like how you describe.

I looked at the Kerope right off the bat but it didn’t seem to have enough stick sound to work in anything other than low to medium volume.

I think what you're looking for (are you still looking?) is found in your stick/ attack and pressure given To the cymbal.
Instead of the cymbal bringing everything you want to you---You have to impose some of Your will into the bronze you pick.

Know your weight know your diameter know your look and know your brand then impose Your Will on it.

yea buddy.

even know your sticks.
Gotta come to terms.
then, with some, with this, knowledge Impose your will.
It works.
