I had a really decent New Year's gig about five years in a row that paid $500. That was a long time ago. Pretty sure that's the most I ever made on a single job.

$1600 for a 4 pc band with hotel rooms for the band and families. New Years Eve 2000. I booked it and got 10% off the top before expenses. It was a profitable night.

$425 for an evening wedding reception last summer. Outdoors in a big meadow, great weather, excellent food and drink, well-planned with a big tent, dance floor, portable generators, and everyone was friendly and laid-back.

@ 700 $$ St Patrick's Day Douglas Tavern Douglas Ontario x 3 years in a row. Can't remember exactly which years , somewhere between 2003 and 2010 . By 2 in the morning the place was right out of a Stehen King novel .

The day started @ 11 am at the Prescott, then onto the Royal Oak then to the Barley Mow then to Paddy''s Place all in Ottawa then to Mac's Cedar Rest in Eganville and finally Douglas .By the end of the day I usually had more than enough to pay my property taxes for the year . It was a long day, though, real long .

$450. We were supposed to open for another independent band that we were good friends with. They were from alabama and on their way their van broke down. We ended up playing 3 sets that night and booked studio time right after that gig to record our second album.

$350 for one set filling in at a festival, we used soundcheck to rehearse. Bandleader was a real dandy , she stormed off stage twice pissed off and wondered why I didn’t stop on a break that wasn’t in Purple Rain .
This was soundcheck ....

She gave me $50 extra and said I kicked ass !!!!
