Newly arrived. K Custom Dry Ride. 20 " I'll let the sound file speak for itself.

It is an accurate sonic recording.. Overhead Sm57 through pre-China Mackie in to

Zoom H4n. No after recording "improvements". Played with 7A Hickory American Classic,

Calato regal wire brushes (too soft in the recording) , and T1 General American Custom

mallets.

Just what I was looking for... dry, articulate, smokey, not brassy. Will fit nicely with

my K Custom Special dry crash and hats.... as a left side ride. The cymbal is easy on the

eyes. And may have sonically mellowed since issue.

$170.00 from C. W. , seamless transaction, no issues.

In my first blush of lust... I like it.

Let me know what you hear. (2:58)

Sounds pretty darn close to mine, Chas.
Although it appears you have a lighter touch, and of course stick choice can vary the attack & tone of any ride cymbal.

I only use mine for amplified situations (moderately loud dance music)
I've come to realize mine is far from an ideal brush ride but I still put it up on the kit once in awhile.

Glad you found it to your liking.

Thanks Steven...

I was a bit surprised by the heft...what 28 - 2900 gms.?

Think I'm going to like this one. Looking forward to putting

it thru some paces.

Peace, Chas

Yeah, the weight is close to 3000 on mine, if not over that.
Articulate stick, like you stated.
I like mine for tight double shuffles where you don't need a lot of wash.

I have this too and I love it. My favorite ride by far. "Smokey" is the perfect description. Even though there is almost no wash to it, it's got a nice dark, smokey sound for jazz. And it is great for small accents with the shoulder for sort of a trashy effect. Good deal on yours too, much less than I paid.

Sam ... Thanks.

The deal on mine was a "make best offer"... had been re-listed at least a couple of times.

I believe the BIN was $220.00.

Here it is ...as I play it. Go ahead, sit in for the next set...
