What about cymbal felts?
Where can I find a nice variety of widths and thicknesses?
Go to drumfactorydirect.com, they have Tama style 6 mm sleeves from Gibraltar: (edit: they're currently sold out - but the model is perhaps available elsewhere)

Nice, thick cymbal felts, also from Gibraltar:

I've played many hours using No Nutz for about 1.5 years now. They are fantastic. I bought them for every single cymbal stand I own.

Do they feel right? Are they too floppy or too rigid?
Do you use felts with them at all or do you use their own plastic-style felts?

Really?? You wear out those Tama sleeves? Those are on most of my old stands and I haven’t had a problem to be honest.

For felts, I use the smallest ones possible to maximize cymbal movement. I even have high hat felts on some stands.

The Tama sleeves have been on my stands since 1979. I played the kit like crazy up til the mid 90's. A couple of them are okay, but I'd say more than half of them have severely bumpy shafts now...worn way down. I know two of them had worn through and I threw them out recently.

Some of mine have gotten rough from the wire for sure
