It was 28 years ago, Sep 25, 1980, that the world lost the greatest rock &
roll drummer, John Bonham. We hope you have a moment to listen to some of
the great Led Zeppelin music on this day, and remember the incredible talent
that was John Bonham!

I wish I had a gig tonight. I'd break out the greenies. I remember it very clearly. I remember what road I was driving on when they announced. Total bummer. By far the most influential to me.

Man, I opened this thread hoping to find an anonymous, somewhat large drum for sale. Darn...

I rocked some "how the west was won" moby dick today, cranked all 20+ mins of it at work.

My favorite indeed!

RIP

I'll never forget hearing their first album. Got it for my 13th birthday from mom & dad. I, like all of you guys was struck by the drumming.

1980. I had just finished college.
RIP JB and Thank you

Often imitated but never duplicated!

Simply the best! My favorite all time drummer!

RIP BONZO! We sure miss you!

RIP, Mr. Bonham. I was looking forward to seeing Zep on the tour in '80-'81 but I hadn't bought my tickets yet.

A drummer's drummer that played for the song. Miss you Mr. Bonham! RIP
