I surely wish I had some great recording tools and goodies to give you guys a proper sample. Saddly, I do not. If I give everyone a crappy phone recording that's further degraded after it goes through Youtube, well then, I don't think it'll be a viable representation of these instruments. I just build them, I'm by no means a sound/recording engineer... Maybe that should be my next ambition... Always wanted a studio in the lower level. Hmmmmmmmm... Maybe that'll be my next trick?

It looks like it was used on a Ludwig Standard nesting type kit... How robust is it? Does it seem strong enough to hold 13" and 14" Ludwig 3 ply toms and an 8" North tom? Any pics of it close up? I've been intrigued by if it was what Alan was using but never saw a clear enough concert shot to be sure.
