Or maybe I’m wrong, awhile back I said I thought little to nothing of Meg White’s drumming abilities and she was fiercely defended by others on this forum. In the end I guess it’s all subjective.

I’m not the best soloist but know that if you concentrate on groove good drum fills naturally come

Well what I’m trying to say is that when I was playing a song with a band and I focused on a good groove/beat, a fill would come at the right time naturally and not sound like I was forcing anything.
Well she doesn’t suck , but I agree , not much there to study either .
How many Buddy threads have there been over the years and there is always that group who say they don’t like Buddy’s machine gun drum solos. In the end I guess if you don’t run the house with people plugging their ears it’s a win.
And that’s fine, I think he was a fricken god.. by the way I’m not thrilled with the Chiefs!
I would never say Buddy is overrated .
I just enjoy others solos more .
As far as the Chiefs go , I’m ecstatic after being let down so many years before .

From Buddy Rich to football-what a pass. Oh-Buddy was one of the greats. But to be honest he always sort of reminded me of Chad Smith.
The Chiefs look to have done well in the offseason , I think they are going to have an off year though .

Some jazz tunes have drum solos built in - Sing,Sing,Sing; Golden Wedding; Take Five and others. Apart from those I am not expected to play them but, rather, trading fours or eights are my norm. None are practiced and just go with the flow.
