I find that Zud works better for me than BKF. Since I worked on boats most of my life, I needed a strong cleaner. I ended up using Zud most of the time. It's in a yellow paper container found most anywhere BKF would be found. They are both powder cleaners, but Zud has a higher concentration of oxalic acid. So be careful! Both can damage a cymbal if left on too long.

I remove logos with Groove Juice. Just leave it on longer than specified, scrub with a non-abrasive sponge or pad, and rinse off. Then clean the whole cymbal with BKF.

I've used acetone in the past on Sabians. I now have Istanbuls and have yet to take the logos off - perhaps this weekend - and I'm curious to try BKF.
