what would it be? (not one that you currently own but just something to give a stab at and try it or learn just for fun) any aspiring tuba or bagpipe players out there? :D

I play drums, piano and guitar all at about the same level, so if I were to pick up one that I never tried, I think Cello would be the one. It just sounds so soothing when played right.

Drums. I hear they're a lot of fun to play.

:D

...OTHERWISE...

Guitar.
I've really been into the whole acoustic - finger pickin' thing, since hearing Alex DeGrassi's "Slow Circle II", many years ago.

...and/or Viola.
Back in the mid 90's, I caught a violinist on...CNN, I think it was, being interviewed.
It was Hillary Hahn.
She was asked to play a piece off of an album she had just put out ("...plays Bach"), and she played the Largo from Bach's Sonata #3 in C Maj.
Hauntingly beautiful redition. I went out and got the CD the next day.
After a few listens, I thought that it may actually have more impact if the instrument had a deeper, mellower tone to it, thus Viola.

Trumpet

It's what I originally wanted to play but the appliances for kids with braces that they have today weren't available at the time.

Also my father was a trumpet player in high school and Joseph was one also. Homage/memory to both of them.

I have a guitar but don't play it enough. That's the other instrument I want to learn.

bass guitar.

I'm surprised I'm the first to say that actually...

you guys are great... keep 'em coming. (I'm especially happy to have influenced Bonzoholic's avatar!) :D

I just started Bass lessons and I am loving it.I have always wanted to play bass and my girlfirend bought me a really great Fender Squier Vintage Modified jazz bass >It is a really nice looking and sounding Bass and very reasonably price.

I kind of took up the clarinet when I lived in Montreal (apartment living = no drums, so I decided to buy a clarinet as I always loved how haunting and sad it could sound), but I'd love to learn how to play the violin. I'm horrible with string instruments though, I doubt I'll ever learn how to play guitar, bass, violin, or anything in that family.

If I were a masochist, I'd want to play an instrument that gets more ridicule than drums. That leaves the choices between Accordion, Banjo, and Trombone. Since I am not a masochist, nor am I a glory hound, I am quite comfortable with drums. Besides, I've tried a few other instruments with no real aptitude for them.

Yes... Ive always wanted to play the piano. I just bought a professional 88 wieghted key controller and as soon as I can fiquire out how to get the software to reconize the controller, Im gunna start. lol. I play other instruments. But have always had an intrest in keys. The reason I bought a controller and not a piano, is I can use it for organ, synth, drum rythyms and other stuff around the studio. Wish me luck.
