Damn I forgot about the Giant beats I like those too. :) ............ OK I like all the Paiste professional lines, I admit it.

Please see avatar for preference, :-D I would love to check out some vintage GB's someday though...

I like the 2002 series. I would use them, but I prefer the way the Zildjian A Custom's sound, and their cheaper.

I was using the Paiste Alpha series with my recently ex cover band 5 nights a week. They sound pretty good and I still haven't broke one in over a year's use. 19" & 20" crashes.

I've been using my Sound Formula hats since 92. Every year they sound better and better! (never been cleaned)

Can't pick just one series! I seem to have gravitated to different series for types of cymbals: Signature and Sound Formula series for crashes. 2oo2 and Sound Formula for hats. Little of everything for rides (like my Dark Energy MK II, Giant Beat 24", Signature Full 21").

I switched to Paiste a few years ago after playing Zildjians for most of my drumming career. My favorite series by far are the 2002's and the Trads.

I haven't hit a 2002 that I've really disliked. I play 14" Sig SE hats, but the Sig crashes and rides I've played really didn't impress me. I have a 3000 Flat Ride that is pretty awesome - kind of like the poor man's 602 Flat, and I have a pair of 14" Sound Formula Med Heavy Hats (1st Gen) that are great.

The other lines, well... I'm not a big fan of the Twenty line, and the only GB cymbal I like is the 24" multi. I've never been into the Rudes.

can't say that i have a favorite overall "series", but of my collection my 18" Signature Power Crash is my favorite sounding cymbal.

my collection consists of 2002, 3000, Signature, Sound Formula, RUDE, RUDE 1000, and Alphas. i've also had 2000s and a 3000 Rude in the past as well.

but i would KILL for a full set of blue label 602s!!

Dark Energy crashes and 2002 rides.

I go by sound and can't limit myself to any one series.
Currently have:
New 14" RUDE hats
21" RUDE Ride/Crash from 1983
18" RUDE Crash/Ride from 1983
15" 2002 SE Hats from 1979
16" & 18" 2002 Crash reissues from 2002
24" 2002 Ride reissue from 2002
New 24" and 20" Giant Beats
14" Dimensions Thin Hats
18" Twenty Crash
20" Twenty Light Ride
21" Twenty Ride
10" Twenty Splash
10" Alpha Thin China
17" Alpha Sensitive China
20" 3000 Flat Ride
14" F602 Bottom Hat

I'd own more if I had the cash!

The Swiss-made Sound Formula series are my favorite cymbals ever, especially the 18" Full Crash.

+1 on Sound Formula... friend of mine had a ride and crash from this series, and I would have bought them from him in a hearbeat.

Wish they still made this series!

Never liked the 2002 series.

I had a 505 Crash at one time, and i prefered far more then the 2002 crash i had.

I've hit a few of the new Giant Beat's in the stores, but they really didn't do much for me.
A friend of mine bought new 18 an 20 GB crashes a few months ago and I got to play his kit for a gig...and when I got to play the GB crashes w a kit, i really liked them.

I had a Signature China type years ago... it cracked within a few years.... very thin and trashy, but not very robust.
