This drum was a second kick drum included with a set of RFM shells I recently purchased. The drums were made in 2016 for prominent jazz drummer Ulysses Owens, Jr. while he was a Canopus endorser. I'm the third owner. I purchased them from a former student of Ulysses, who reportedly purchased the drums from him and then immediately put them into storage, where they sat until I bought them. I find it easy to believe, because other than wear on the heads, they're in near perfect shape.

Canopus makes amazing instruments and the level of craftsmanship on display here is impressive. This drum is a 15x20 RFM bass drum, in natural oil finish. Other than a teeny bit of a mark on the batter head from a bass drum beater, this drum has absolutely zero wear or any sign that it was ever played. Truly near-mint.

The drum will ship in a brand new 24" cube double-walled shipping carton, wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap.

Asking $999 shipped in the US48. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Please reach out. Thanks!

The only question is my kit’s fade(yellowing?).

Don't know if this helps, but the kit that I bought (toms and kicks) is all 2016 and the snare I got with it is dated 2013. They're all the same "natural oil" finish, and I had no clue that the drums were made 3 years apart until I was taking photos yesterday. They look identical.
