If that kit has beech shells, I'd be interested in picking it up for $600.

Also...pardon my ignorance, but how can I tell if these are the beech shells we suspect they are?

If the badges look like the ones I mentioned earlier in this thread, and look like they haven't been tampered with (which I doubt, judging from the cleanness of the drums), then they would be the 6-ply beech Panthers. It seems unlikely that they're Phonics, but if they were, they'd be 9-ply beech. It looks to me like a Panther kit with Phonic Hi-Tech hardware (stands). If there's no funny business going on, you can't go wrong either way.

Clearly, the badges have NOT been tampered with. And the shells do seem to be the thinner 6-ply. I think y'all have helped me confidently confirm that these are the Panther series, with Phonic Hi-Tech hardware. Thanks!
