Hi.
I'm new here and don't know If you have seen this brand on this forum before. These are my Levin drums. They where made here in Sweden during the 40's. They are metric sized. I hope you like them. I do!

All the best!

Nice kits. Is that larger bass drum a 26"/66cm or a 24"/61cm?
Can you describe those drums/company.

Those are great looking drums. Thank you for posting those pictures.

Very nice kit's,love the lugs also, many faceted, they look different depending on the angle you look at them from.

Love to see the inside of the shells and close ups of the hardware etc. What kind of wood are the shells?

Välkommen Joacim!
Great drums and a part of Swedish music history.
Levin is better known for their guitars, also known as Goya in the US, if I remember correctly.
The drums are great, very good looking, take a close look at the rims!
And one of few Swedish drum makers.
I'm glad to have talked you in to joining here, your knowledge will be a fine contribution.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it is birch. The hoops is beech.

Here you can see the two only versions of the single ended Levin lugs.
And If I'm not misstaken the shell is made in birch.

I like them too. I used one of my Levin kits in a studio for the first time a few weeks ago. I'm very pleased with the sound.

Thank you Geardaddy.
I like the shape too. Here's my other Levin snare drum with the double ended lugs.

Thanks for posting.

Looks like in the inside veneer of the snare drum is birch.

From the photo it look like the shells are 6 ply.

Looks like the lugs have Art Deco styling.

wow...you learn something everyday...awesome...what got you into collecting/playing them?

I'm curious. Is the name pronounced in Sweden as LEH-vinn or leh-VINN?
