I just Hydro-Dipped my drums to repaint them!

Check it out! I snagged up this cute little kit at Gearfest for $100 bucks to try and do something fun and creative with it. After trying a few other things and not liking how it turned out, I tried Hydro-Dipping it. It was really fun, and I love how it turned out! Here's a quick little vid on the process, and give it a listen.

Nice job... certainly unique/one of a kind. Kit also recorded really well too - sounds ginormous!

Man I hate you creative people. I can't even rewrap a drum evenly.
Nice job. Drum sound and playing are impressive!
 
Hahahaha! Thanks @the_dude ! If it makes you feel any better I've never rewrapped a kit because I know there's no way I could do it evenly too! Haha! :)

I've watched more than a few vids on hydro-dipping. . .Always guitars though. I was curious how difficult it would be as far as the inside of the drum. Would it look okay etc. I think it looks cool.

Looks cool. Further proof that you don't have to spend a fortune to get a great sound.
 
Thanks @Bandit! And great point! ...I actually had the bug to do something like this after doing something similar (but very different) last year. Vid below. I spent $100 on a used DDrum D2 kit at guitar center then brought it home, ripped the covers off, sanded, scraped, beat up, drilled random holes in it, and then painted and covered it with stickers. I just love it, and gig with it most the time! I have a few other much more high end kits, and I love this thing I beat up. It's definitely not about how much you spend! :)

That is bloody amazing! I thought I had heard of every possible way to finish drums but, that is wild. Woodstock! Jimi Hendrix Experience. I bet Mitch Mitchell would have loved something like that. Man, half the drummers making music back in the 60's would have done that. I have to check out that link. Very cool. Talk about psychedelic. One of kind. How can you go wrong? I definitely have to try that someday.
