6.5 x 14 70's Ludwig Supraphonic snare

Hey Drum Forum mates - about to post a vintage 70's Supraphonic I have had for years.

Been kept in pristine state in the studio under temp controlled conditions.

In looking at where best to list pricing on Reverb and E-Bay seems price points are all over the map : from $350-$2000

This one is a tough thing to contemplate letting go as the sound quality is fantastic.

Welcome any suggestions on how to determine the ideal price.

for a standard aluminum LM402 from the 70s $350 is about right.

It's just a Supra, a great drum, but there are plenty out there. The condition is the real key to price.

I scored a B/O 6.5" for $150 cash due to the shell acne (little worse than yours). I had to get it for that price (he wanted $200) and was obsessed with that drum at the time.......

It's still very pretty to me, but more importantly, with the coated Emperor up, diplomat snare side, 42 strand wires and the vintage mojo, I can get it dialed right in for that huge JHB sound and I only use it for my Zep drum/bass sessions..........

I suppose you could get a few hundred north of $350 if pristine.......people asking $2K are nuts IMO but what do I know.........

Yep, I'd go $350 to $500 or so.
The 'offers' of 1 to 2 grand are, ahem, quite overboard, imo.

Keystone badged editions seem to be a little less common. I'd put those closer to the $500 range.

I've seen the definitive B/O early 70's Bonham snare In VG condition in the 450-650 range.

$2000 IF it were a chrome over brass… MAYBE… it would have to be outstanding, or a Black Beauty!
