Amazon deals thread

So this is about people's feelings? I've heard about those...

The time on these amazon deals is usually always very limited. Nobody is saying that anyone paid too much or too little for their gear. If you find an insane deal, post it - it's that simple. If the next person clicks on the link and it's gone, oh well that's life. Why not pass on a deal to someone else when you can?

Well, yeah, that's the whole reason for this sticky thread. :headbang: But posting pricing in this thread for it to forever remain and be used as a price check doesn't help anyone. The link is posted and the price is what the price is. If its a deal, awesome! If its not a deal, then it's no skin off anyone's back.

The Sabian APX blowout absolutely continues to depress prices. AFAICT the blowouts are gone, havent seen any stragglers in over a month, but used prices have yet to recover.

With the amount of great deals Amazon has been giving lately, I think a thread is in order. Please post any good or crazy deals through Amazon here. Also move to where it needs to be! Hope this is a good idea and helps some guys out.
I think it would be cool to have a specific topic in the Marketplace section for deals on any website. "Deals" or something and then people could post individual posts and say something like
"Snare Drum 5x14 on Amazon ($)(3)" Item, Website, Price, and quantity. In my personal opinion it's too hard to look through a pinned thread and find stuff because usually it's older and may not be anything you're interested in...

decent not killer deal on APX http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003B1GAJA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_sfl_title_19&smid=A36ZEJOFQT6QSO
That's actually a pretty good price - I think the non-blowout prices were like $90-100 on that. My son got me that very cymbal for Christmas.

and what's that bad boy sound like?

The 165 price on the "80's actually lasted more than a day, usually these price blips are measured in hours or minutes. Until someone bought one and the computer reevalutes the pricing algorithm. But I already had my $200 L80's on the way. I wrestled with buying them anyway, as I have two kits in the practice room (three actually, counting the e kit) but if I buy more I want the bigger set for my drums.

My current plan is to set up e drums with L80's, give my kid a remote kick pedal on a step stool and get a drop clutch for the hats. (He's obsessed with double bass drum pedals, so maybe I'd be giving him a leg up)

the splash...isn't nearly as dry as the rest of the APX. but its also my first splash. not really sure what to do with it yet.

I've found a number of sellers inflate the MSRP claimed by ludicrous amounts in order to hit the discount search.

Like this fine example from Drum Warehouse claiming the Roland KT-10 kick pedal has an MSRP of $1299, while in actuality - they're selling it for MAP which is $229, same as everyone else. But theirs comes up first because of the fraudulent MSRP claim.

Chrome has an extension called "Camelizer" which shows price history of products for Amazon. It has detailed info on most products. Small footprint on your browser in the address bar and when you want info you click the little icon in the corner....see the attached screenshot

You can set alerts for products as well and will get emails when prices drop....have to pick exact products though

I just got another Sabian HHX 10" Splash for $17. I refreshed the page and the price had changed already, so no point in posting a link. I can flip these all day on ebay and make $75 profit easy.
