Educate me on Ludwig snare model numbers

Don't laugh, I'm trying to learn here. I guess I did not ask my friend Mr. Google the right question. I want to learn what model number matches which Ludwig snare so when I read posts about 402s and 404s etc. I know what drum my fellow drummers are referring to.

400 and 402 are the 5" and 6.5" Supraphonic models respectively. I believe the 404 and 408 are the same but with the Super Sensitive snares.

Not sure when you move on to Black Beauties, bronze, brass and other variants. Find an online catalog.

I stand corrected, Super Sensitives were 410 & 411.

Really the only model I recall seeing referred to by its model number on a fairly regular basis around here is the 402 6.5x14 Supraphonic, followed by the 400 5" Supra.

LM would not be correct for the current line-up; LB402 is (EDIT: for the 6.5"x14 model).
Then you get into a bunch of hardware variants into the model number(s).

You may be thinking of my ads, which probably confuse the issue because at one point I had both an LM402 (aluminum) and an LB402 for sale at one time. They look superficially the same, but the LB has the “BR” stamp behind the throwoff (and often a “brass edition” second badge).
