I had a very pleasant conversation with Fred Beato of Beato bags yesterday.
I placed an order for a two tom Combo bag and a 20 x 16 Bass drum bag in the excellent Pro 1 series . Fred is a true Gentleman and a joy to chat with. His level of Customer Service is superb. He also makes the best drum bags made IMHO.

If you want extremely well padded bags that don't crumple when you are inserting you drums and offer superior protection from the elements and are water resistant then Beato is THE place to go

I have had the real Beato bags and they are great. Just curious, are those Beato 3 bags actually associated with Fred Beato or is that a totally different company?

Excellent choice. He custom made my 3 drum combo bag; what a time saver.

Fred Beato is the real deal. I met him years ago when I was working with Canopus and found him to be one hell of a dude. His cases are second to none and his snare/tom bumper pads are a "must have" for every drummer wanting to avoid rash from rims rubbing into finishes.

I agree about Fred Beato - a great man who makes the very best bags available. I own quite a few!

+1. I spoke with him on Tuesday. I ordered a complete set of drum bags, a hardware bag and cymbal bag, and yesterday he texted me a pic of my order all packed and ready to be shipped. I've known Fred for years and can't believe I waited so long to get some of his bags. I can't wait to start using them.

Check out his CD "Tail Of The Shark" - Fred's a great, solid, drummer and a huge Ringo fan! A man after my own heart!

I never had the good fortune of speaking with Fred, but his products are the BEST! I actually modified 4 of my Beato Pro I bags by attaching carry handles onto the ends to make them easier to carry. (Don't tell Fred I "improved" upon his bags!) :)

I only own one Beato Bag. I use it for my floor tom and bought it used. It is so obviously head and shoulders above any other soft case I own. Some of the others are very good, but the BEATO is just so much better.

I've spoken with him on the phone several times, and I couldn't agree more with the positive comments. Great guy and a great product.

I left my Beato Pro I outside in the Northwest winter rain for a week once (long story) and it was still bone dry inside afterwards.

Best bags out there. Since I got mine my hard cases are purely for storage.

Fred is one of the best human beings you will interact with. A super nice guy that makes GREAT products for a fair price. What more can you ask for.

I just ordered two snare bags (5x14 & 6x14 inch), and one tom/snare bumper pad. I love the selection of sizes, very broad and custom.

Thanks RickP!

The combo bags he made me, are time savers, and have held up real well for a few years with weekend warrior work. {My favorite holds a 14" snare drum, 10' tom, 12" tom, and a 14" floor tom with dividers !}

And yes, Fred is one helluva guy !! ;-)

I've been considering something similar, but without the snare space. At the very least, combo backs to hold both rack toms on each of my kits. Or three rack toms on my 6-piece. Gotta look into this.

Beato bags are the best. The quality is unsurpassed and Fred's great reputation is legendary.
I just have one small complaint. The bags need to have the sizes on the outside of them. Maybe the newer ones do. Anybody know?

Just make sure you have enough space in your percussion transporter. {I use my work Scion XB for gigs, and am limited to the back seat for the whole kit and kabudle.} 22" Beato bass drum bag, Beato combo case and a "falling apart" rolling Percussion Racket Rolling top heavy dangerous toe remover hardware case. Plus a leather cymbal bag for my babies. The combo case gets wedged above everything in my Toaster.

I have an SUV and 16' trailer. I always have at least 3 full drums sets with me at every gig!
