Dang, my man-- that should count for two drums somehow! So much incredible attention to detail right there.
Most importantly: How's it sound? I ADORE my Nicko Talisman snare, so I assume this is amazing as well.

Yeah. To be metal you must have double kick drums. That is a sweet drum. Nico is great. So was Clive Burr. Two awesome Maiden drummers who didn’t need 2 kicks.

Yeah the ride the lightning days are long gone. That was a great show though. Got to be right in front of Cliff. The 80’s were quite interesting.

Maiden was everything when I was in high school. Killers, Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind still see the turntable in this palace. Thank you sir.

Yep. Those are the only Maiden albums I own...bought 'em when they were all being released.

He’s agreeing with you that they/he are metal. He’s also backing up how ridiculous it was why/that they wouldn’t win best metal band and Metallica would. He was putting the reason in a tiny box while agreeing with you at the same time.
Here’s how his statement reads -
He’s saying, yeah, like “yeah right come on.”
“They” used to say you needed a double bass to be considered real metal during a certain era of time, he’s stating that that’s a silly thought.
He backs it up by stating that both Nikko and Clive were not only great, and not only metal, but metal while playing single bass.
