Which one do you like better?
I love them both equallly , honestly . I don't need both but keep both . Have been playing the Birch for the past month or so and am about to switch to the Maples . When I'm gone my grandson - now 3 and plays them every time he and his parents visit - will inherit along with a host of other drums , cymbals , etc...Oh , # 2 grandson due this week . If he takes to the drums like # 1 did , they can fight over which kit they want !

I have two. Canopus RFM 12/14/18 and Rogers Powertone, which would count as a jazz kit in the bop era of jazz, although it is a 20/16/13 setup, so it's probably a bit bigger than most think of as a bop kit these days. Philly Joe Jones played 13/16/22 as did West Coast jazz drummers like Joe Morello. Larry Bunker (Bill Evans Trio, so West coast) used a 20" BD with 12/14 toms.
