Rolling Stone is saying it was brain cancer. He had been dealing with it for the past few years, I guess.

RIP NEAL.

This has really affected me. While I haven't been into his playing in a long time, Neal was - as he is for every drummer I've met - a major influence at some time in every players development including mine.

Very classy guy as well.

Crap - so young....

A huge loss for our world that another God has fallen. I feel only slightly better knowing that he has joined his wife and daughter and his pain has been eased.

Rest well brother Neil.

The Signals tour was my first real concert. I went with 4 or 5 of my friends in our high school drum line. I know he didn't like the reverence, but he was a deity to every teenage drummer at that time (and since).
