Enjoy!

Luddite used the perfect adjective.... handsome. To me, this set sits right in the middle of vintage perfection. It's dripping in strong, clean, old-school, freakin' cool vibes but in all new everything! And this will fit you and the stage too a tee!

Once you put the Salebarbes head on the front removing the logo, this will be the kind of kit that young drummers stare at wondering what brand it is as they don't recognize the details. While grizzled players will stare in awe wondering what amazing vintage kit that is as they don't recognize the details. How cool is that!

Were proud for you brother.... brand ambassador away by golly, brand ambassador away! That is one handsome set of drums, every bit as stylish as you!

Just wondering....do you have a sense of the weight the wrap added?

Even with it I would think the kit would be lighter than a ply-shell kit.

yup yup...super clever and classy, but ¿what happens when you're changing heads? it leans towards the concept of having to bring your car back to the dealer every time you need an oil change...

I would assume they fly to where needed with the painted heads and put them on for him .

I've been a long time admirer of William Leclerc's wok (and his father Gilles') for a while. Enough to buy Ebenor's uber exclusive 10th anniversary kit and snare (elm stave) constructed out of the lumber from an historic tree.

I freakin' loooooove that elm kit's feel and sound, but the visuals, although gorgeous, don't quite match my band's stage aesthetics. I needed something a little less boutique/fine woodworking and a little more vintage-y. Also, I needed something weather resistant, our temps can swing WILDLY from dead freezing in the winter to scorching hot and humid in the summer.

Soooo Will said "if you'd like, I could wrap an aluminum kit for you, that way you can leave it in the truck in any weather, it can rain on the stage, it'l never crack nor go out of round... plus, the added mass of the wrap is gonna warm up the tone and shorten the sustain a tiny bit wich will bring it tonally closer to a wood kit than a metal kit."

He didn't need to say more. A deal was struck right then and there. And a few weeks later, the kit i s done and will go on its inaugural gig this friday. In the meantime, here are a few pics of the kit and Ebenor's shop

the only thing not made in-house is the wrap (Delmar) and the BD claws. Tom and snare hoops and hardwarr are brass. BD hoops are cherry. Will even designed his own snare throw-off mechanism. And it is a ting of beauty. The whole kit is just drop-dead gorgeous, with the tone to match its looks.View attachment 745337View attachment 745341View attachment 745343View attachment 745339

Gorgeous drum set! Congratulations and well deserved! Watching you grow on these boards has been fantastic. Not only your drumming but the success of your band.

dang clean work, BUT...per the dig...bad rap and not really accurate or deserved :p i own and regularly use 3 of 'their' kits [brass, steel and feather weight aluminium] and every drum/weld is as clean or cleaner...just sayin...

Don’t even sweat when someone comes down on A&F , they are without question in a class of their own , in both sound and company. I am also in strong belief that the way they weld their drums together is a HUGE part of the reason why they sound like no other. Almost like a secret sauce :) just amazing. Keep enjoying , if you got three of those babies, wow!

A&F Featherweight Aluminum possibly the best sounding metal drums on the planet.

You just whip out the ol' spray can. Takes all of 5 minutes of work per head plus a little bit of drying time. Boom, done.
