What would a real clean set of Rosewood Phonics be worth in 12,13,16,22 no snare? thanks

No, you're right. I (like many others) sometimes buy stuff cheap just to flip. Judge me for it if you wish, but it's not all that uncommon.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I'm just saying if you missed out on 'em then someone else was either luckier than you, or they are more opportunistic, or they got a very nice set to play. Just hope it isn't a DFO brother/sister trolling these posts.. It certainly wouldn't be the first time THAT happened.

Maybe it was you. Perhaps a finders fee is in order?

Those Phonics would've rocked your sox off. But no worries, stay patient, another score will come along. Next time, you might want to PM a few people privately instead of posting publicly. ;)

6 in one hand...

The best way to get info is a public post and it hasn't let me down yet. Just wasn't fast enough this time. I didn't say WHERE I saw them, so someone really would have had to work to find them just to beat me to the punch.
I bet you you were beat by a forum member this time. No, it wasn't me..

Not Roseys but a nice Oak Phonics kit with a big ol 24....Great starting price

LFG...

"I just didn't know enough about these to be excited about them.".....

then I'd say you made a good call.... you tried to get some data, was

not meant to be.

now, on to the next.

Peace, Chas

I've got a Mid-70s Rosewood Phonic bop kit and I love it with 'jazz' tunings. The BD in particular sounds sensational with open tuning. The toms sometimes sound a little choked to me though, but that could easily be tuning-negligence on my part.

I also have standard setup of the same vintage rosewoods that are great for rock drumming. They are kind of loud; I had a buddy of mine play them on a gig recently and they sounded 'throaty', I guess I would say.
