Brand new 22” Dream Dark Matter Energy ride. Rapidly becoming one of my favorite cymbals. Amazing stick
definition/articulation, crystal clear but not annoyingly pingy bell, and beautiful, gentle wash that never overwhelms. I am very impressed.

Brand new Sakae Osaka Heritage evolved Maple kit. Amazing sound. For those who don't know Sakae, they're a 99 year old drum company fron Sakae Japan. Sakae made all the high end Yamaha shells that were made in japan like the legendary RC series and the Phoenix series.

I saw those. Ended up actually getting a Pearl 60's kit that I still cant identify fully. Thin shells with rerings, 10 bolt lugs on kick. Rail mount. Doesn't seem to match the No. 68 since it has thin shells. Congrats on these. Was very curious about that "wood thing" lol

The wood thing and the front head sold me! This rig has serious 60’s garage band mojo it was her dad’s 1st kit

Attended the Chicago Vintage Drum Show and picked up two aluminum shell snares that I wanted .

1966 Ludwig Acrolite - very clean - sounds great

INDe Kalamazoo 14 x 6.5” snare to match my Aluminum Wayfarer kit . View attachment 674475View attachment 674476
I'm curious what you think of the INDe. I have the bronze and have been GASSY for her aluminum sibling.

More heads… Blue Colorsounds on Purecussion Rim drums. I have a 10” also, but one of the “lugs” is broken and it’s missing the tom mount. I have a mount on order with DSH & was relieved to find that Gauger still has parts.

I got the Attack Red Baron because I thought it would look nice with all the blue.

My pedals broke the last night of tour, or so I thought…

It turns out one of the other drummers using them didn’t know how that the springs on Iron Cobras can detach, and he just screwed the nut holding the spring taut backwards.

So I uh, bought these Tricks for no apparent reason. They’re real smooth!

About two months ago: a few drum heads and a couple of pair of Johnny Rabb 5A "Rhythm Saw" sticks, from the local Sam Ash at the start of their store closing "clearance" sale. I have no practical use for the Rhythm Saw sticks, but I picked them up anyway, just because.
