Dang that almost makes me want to return the snare or cancel it. Not that it's inferior being manufactured in Taiwan, but I just assumed the top o line stuff would be actually British :/ doesn't seem like there would be a good resell market for it, etc
It's a great drum!

Even the older stuff that was made in the UK doesn't really sell for that much.

FWIW though, I haven't tried the Elite series... but my Genista snare sounds almost identical to the 40th Anniversary Tama Superstar I also own. In fact, I think I like it slightly more because of the triple-flanged hoops, instead of die-cast. IMO, they are very underrated drums, it's a shame they don't have much distribution - my Genista kit has the best lacquer finish I've ever seen in my life. It's stunning!
If you're buying it for resale, Premier's not always the best investment. It's a bit of a head-scratcher as to why that is. But man oh man are they good drums from everything I've experienced. I don't think I'll ever not have a Premier kit in my possession. Every time I sell one, I just find myself hunting for another one to buy... So, I wouldn't send it back, personally. Not at that price.

Well I canceled it: i was strictly picking that up to flip to help pay for the Liberty
it was $233 total, and there are many a maple snare that I could get between $200-$300 and probably be satisfied w/, discount or no.

We will see if the Liberty is as good as its reputation.

So maybe be on the lookout for a cheap Elite snare coming back to Amazon soon if you are into it.

And there are several other Liberty snares w/prices dipping every day. Sounds like probably the last of them.

MPX are a great line of budget snares. Retail on that model is $130, so just a minor discount on Amazon

I def like this wood/hardware aesthetic more than the black ones w/ black hardware, but those seem well-priced, as well.
