Thanks, Jordan Blue, for the heads up on that deal! I also managed to grab one of the 14" AA crashes. Hopefully the order will go through!
question, midnightsupperclub: did you get any shipping and/or tracking info yet?
I ordered the 16" AA concert band cymbals on the 20th... still no shipment info

mine says arriving sept. 26th-29th. no tracking number listed.

I don't know what the signature under the bell is for.
The signature under the bell is the word "Sabian" written in Western Armenian characters. All Sabian cymbals are given that signature.
Not all Sabian cymbals are.

Same here, i noticed this morning they were still listed as being available at that price. Be interesting to see if they actually show up!

True I should have said all their upper tier cymbals are marked that way--at least all the ones I've seen.

I'm weak and couldn't take it anymore, just ordered the 16's as well. $47 shipped. Anyone have any idea what they are? lol

I talked to Sabian. They said they're approx the same weight as a rock crash. I think they would work as hats or crashes. Or band cymbals if that's your bag.

Just ordered also.. $47.. if i don't like them they can always be wall art :)

P.S. there is a video of them on the sabian page.. things would make giant hats...

Checked the Fed Ex shipping info. The weight of the package that is supposed to be carrying a pair of the 16" Concerts is 1.7 pounds.

You win some, you lose some..

That might just be a random number that the merchant put into the system to create a tracking number, not necessarily the actual weight. I run an e-commerce site and all items show as 1 lb. I don't use the back-end to create actual shipments so it doesn't matter if the number is bogus. Even if you got just one cymbal, you know it's got to weigh more than 1.7 lbs which is 771g.

Also, it may just be a dim-weight (dimensional weight).

True. The suspense is killing me.

FedEx is bringing mine Tuesday. Sabian told me the weight per cymbal is around 1341g. That's a tad more than 1.7 lbs.

Still no shipment on my 14" AA xtc either. Ordered 4 days ago, still "preparing for shipment."

PSA For Liberty (I'm not affiliated)

2 Liberty Snares going REALLY low right now on Amazon

I bought this one last week and it's dropping again...I think I paid around $340
https://www.amazon.com/Liberty-Drums-LD-BIR-1465-IN03-14-Inch-Natural/dp/B00K2O50H2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474806407&sr=8-1&keywords=liberty+snare

Also....

I waited this one out and I can not say enough about how much I love the drum I got. They are worth every penny of the MSRP (600-700). I would never have gotten to hear the drum at that price but if you have the funds....the 2 above are no brainers, I wouldn't even wait for another 5% drop at this point. They are LIFETIME snare drums. Happy to ask any questions if anyone is on the fence.
