Very nice, you won't regret it. Love how dry that thing is in Lasse's video. Check out that bell!

That one sounds spectacular. Great get!
That’s a nice one for sure! Hope you enjoy!

Thanks guys ! Funch's best stuff sells out super fast as you probably know . I got lucky yesterday . Don't know how much longer the video sound file will be accessible on his site so I've asked Funch if he could upload it to Youtube .

Wow! Very nice. Please post a video once you receive it.

Cost of the Danish pie?
At current exchange rate $ 680 inc. shipping/handling to Japan . I'd been in contact with some other independent cymbalsmiths in the past in the US and elsewhere and they all quoted $ 125-150 to ship to Japan . Funch just adds $ 20 to cost of cymbal to cover packing materials , etc. I have been notified by DHL that it was shipped from Denmark yesterday ( Monday the 18th here ) and will arrive next Tuesday on the 26th . There are dealers in Tokyo asking almost twice what I paid for a USED 22" Funch !

Amazing sounding cymbal, and excellent service from Funch!

Does anyone know what stick he used in that demo? Looks very much like a worn down VF AJ6.

I was curious about the sticks as well . Somebody here probably knows .

It kind of looks like the taper and tip of a Carter McLean stick to me.

Just got a notice from DHL that the cymbal has already arrived in Japan ! 2 days from Denmark ! Japanese import duty is just $ 45 . Very reasonable . Anxiously awaiting its arrival !

It kind of looks like the taper and tip of a Carter McLean stick to me. Reg price $ 13 a pair and they had a $ 3 coupon so $ 12 a pair . Over $ 38 ( Japanese yen 5000 ) free shipping . Minus points I'd accumulated on Rakuten I got 3 pairs shipped to me for $ 20 !

Funch Nefertiti arrived this morning and I played it for a few minutes this evening before dining out with the wife . Immediately noticed under the eco lights above the set that there were " uneven " edge sections , concave shaped if you will , dipping down for about 2 inches in length and then up again . Pardon my ignorance if this is common with 100% hand-made cymbals but this is my first . I'm having trouble taking good pics with our evening echo lighting so will take pics in the morning . In the meantime , I'd appreciate any feedback you might have . I've contacted Funch but haven't heard back as yet . Update : Just saw this on the Funch site . "
The cymbals are hand-made, so they are not 100% even. Every cymbal is distinct in its appearance. My main goal is sound." I guess my question now is how imperfect is acceptable . The uneveness is very noticeable , but again , I'm a newbie re: 100% hand-made cymbals .
