A custom built decibel snare drum.
The material is influenced by the snare drums built by Fred Hinger! David does outstanding work that's high quality.

A 6.5 x13" Yamaha Musashi oak snare for $130!
Needed a new strainer b/c somebody dropped it. :)
I already have the 12" -now to find a 10" ...maybe....

Nothing exciting, I'm just trying catch up on cases.

Most of my over fifty H& B cases are black, but every once in a while I pick up one in a color just for fun.

The irony in this is that I don't see colors well myself.

Perfect for Lent . Can I say Lent?

You did, so I guess that is a yes. (And the case is showing up today, Friday, so there is that...)

That is a good a reason as any. They currently only have red, purple and blue in stock at Sweetwater, and I already have red and blue. Sweetwater and Memphis drum shop are the only two shops I know of that stock Humes & Berg cases in colors.

As long as it doesn’t smell like fish!

Added this clean 1966 Ludwig Supraphonic this past week. No dated ink stamp. 306xxx. All original including heads, snare wires + strings, tension rods/washers. Sounds good on the 56 yr old heads.
As far as wear and tear.....very little actual wear from use. The snare wires nearly dead flat. But the bottom hoop was out of round.....which took me considerable time to massage.....and still not where I want it.
