Drum room now has its own stick vacuum. No longer feeling guilty about dust getting into hardware and onto drums as having one handy means the floor - drum rug especially - gets done daily rather than once every few years.

I need one of these near my e-kit. I noticed this week that the drum rug there was in need of some attention.

They actually work quite well at reducing the volume of drums and cymbals.
I will try them at next band rehearsal with normal heads and cymbals instead of the Evans dB Ones.
Quite a bit cheaper as well...
I used them quite successfully in environments where I really needed volume control. It is easy to break the plastic body though so try to use the tip. Cymbal rolls I found a little challenging as plastic on cymbals isn’t my first choice.

I just ordered a new pair of Regal Tip brushes. I'm trying to find replacements for my Clayton Cameron models I've played for more than a decade, which are still usable. I also have a backup pair, and at age 76 am not likely to need another pair, but I already have one pair of replacements that are unsatisfactory, so it's kind of an experiment. Besides, I might need them.

I had a day or two of selling one 21" Mel Lewis sig. cymbal and a Canopus 14 x 5 steel snare drum and then bought a Bosphorus Modern Vintage 20" ride cymbal back from a buddy and 12 x 5 snare drum that should be delivered today. It is a cheap 2hand dDrum custom Maple with die-cast hoops bought for outdoor gigs during the rainy season when I don't want to expose my Brady 12 x 7 Sheoak block snare to potential rain drops.....

They are also quite challenging for playing buzz rolls or drags.
But after 3 months of playing the Evans dB One heads and cymbals - especially the plasticky snare and lack of articulation on the hihat - I guess this is a better trade off.

It arrived and with a new batter head and new snare wires now it will certainly be a nice alternative 12" snare. Tuned up well and being 6 lug that was relatively easy to do. Die-cast hoops keep it "dry" and helps get a loud rim shot or nice cross-stick when I want...and it was cheap :) ($79 including delivery courier)

DCP has a 15% sale this weekend, so I ordered the 8” tom to go with my Stage Customs. Along with a Tom arm, multiclamp and 8” Emperor.
Is there a code to use for the 15%? Can't find it. Thanks!

This arrived from Europe last week. Very good condition, missing 2 rim clips and tension rod. Thankfully, it only took a couple of days in SONOR Tear Drop Owners FB page to find parts. The internet is a wonderful thing. Cleaning & polishing started.

Metric 38cm heads on it, and Remo 15 Ambassador heads fit just fine.
